Dave is the Managing Director of Trading, a position he assumed in 2020. In this capacity, he has spearheaded trading initiatives and managed Mako's external relationships. His journey at Mako also includes roles such as the Head of Business Development, where he led initiatives to enhance group efficiency and optimise business processes. Before Mako, Dave was an ETF Sales Trader at HSBC.
Outside the trading sphere, he played professional rugby for the Scottish Rugby Union, representing Scotland in significant tournaments, including the 2007 Rugby World Cup. He is an accomplished alumnus of Newcastle University with a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). A keen sports enthusiast, Dave is passionate about health, exercise, and expanding his professional horizons.
